Mounted Dog of War

Today I wanted to share the warsteed for the Dog of War outfit that I made a while back. Dog of War, along with Raid Ready Captain, has been a favorite outfit of mine to wear--that is when I do wear an outfit instead of just my equipment (more on that in a later post). I wish I could go all-out and make tons of warsteed outfits, but as many have noted that's a rather expensive route to go. Settling for two custom warsteed set-ups (besides the Eastemnet horse) on my Captain is all I'm willing to do at this time--especially because I will not be converting beer money to horse money for a little while. I just got some fantastic black lager on Monday... Anyway, on a more serious note, it's heartbreaking that the prices have been set so high that it's preventing or repelling other talented folks from making even a couple outfits that require store purchases. Here's hoping the ridiculous prices drop, and in the meantime take loads of pictures in the next open beta and enjoy viewing this addition to the Dog of War ensemble.

Thoughts on RoR launch cosmetics

Today I want to share my thoughts on the new armor and steed cosmetics we have gotten with the launch of Riders of Rohan. I'll address the people-armor first and discuss my views on the quality and cost of the new warsteeds' tack & barding.
(Page break because it makes my post's view-count go up by necessity :):

Rohirric Warden: Lancer

Last week I showed my Captain in a heavy outfit based around the Hauberk of the Eastemnet. This week, I've used that as a centerpiece for another Warden outfit. This is Rechart as a Rohirric Lancer. This Lancer outfit represents the frontline melee role that Wardens have in combat, and I've clad him in heavier armor to show that.

Captain Build Spreadsheet

This isn't LotRO outfitting related, but I do what I want!

I've updated my Captain build-planning spreadsheet for RoR. The cool thing about this spreadsheet is that it requires very little work from you. I have pretty much every piece of armor/jewelry anything that an endgame captain would want. All you gotta do is make selections on one of the Calculations tabs, input a few things manually (weapon/emblem top stats and stat legs, food buffs, scrolls, tactics buffs, stat tomes, etc.), and your stats calculated accurately. If any gear you want to use in your build is not included, why you can easily input the data once in the gear tabs.

If you intend to have an 85 Captain, check it out. Here's the OP with better instructions than this. Link to the actual spreadsheet is at the bottom of the post and also here.

Rohirric Captain: Knight

This outfit is that of a heavily armored Captain sporting a Rohirric style. As I stated previously I wanted the centerpiece of the outfit to be the Hauberk of the Eastemnet gotten from preordering Riders of Rohan (either Heroic or Legendary edition).
