Featured on LotRO Reporter

I've been a listener to LotRO Reporter for a while, and Tuesday I got a chance to appear on it. I'd seen on Tuesday of this past week that Turbine had taken Fornost Earth offline, and I'd known exactly why. I tried to get a hold of my buddy Layanor before the show and ended up saying my piece in LotRO Reporter's vent channel. Fun times!
I appear around 8:05 in the podcast. Note that I was intoxicated at the time and my speech was deliberately set at a slow and plodding pace so I didn't fuck it all up, heh. To be clear, a RSoE every 3-5 minutes meant three challenge completions within that timeframe. In the very last bit I must've been responding to something in chat--totally did a 180 in the middle of a sentence.
My... sources tell me that players who farmed Fornost Earth challenge (done by resetting the fight after the boss was killed but before adds were killed) were not rolled back or banned. Turbine's problem, and Turbine did right by taking the Instance down, probably until U9.

Mounted Shining Steel

 Hello again, folks. Last week, Turbine introduced the Steed of the Captain to the LotRO store, and I immediately jumped on it--even before I'd gotten a good look at it. It was just one of those things I, with a Captain main, had been anticipating for a long time. And my, my... jinglebells aside I think they did a great job designing this particular steed.

Quick Update

I've been playing the hell out of a couple other games this past week, I'll just give y'all a rundown on what's going on.

Hotline Miami is one of those games I got into. It's a brutal, fast-paced arcade-style game, indie released in late October. I kept seeing all these good reviews on Kotaku and Rock Paper Shotgun, so I picked it up and spent all day and some of the next day playing it. The action is set to like hyper-speed, though I would often park my character behind a corner or closed door, anticipation building as I developed a bloody plan-of-action. Old-school graphics aside, every instance of crunching skulls and spilling guts is exhilarating. It's often called arcade-style, but each quarter oughta net you like 10 lives--dying is inevitable but fun (almost like in Dorf Fortress). And ohmygosh the soundtrack is the best. I dig everything by M|O|O|N, but right now I think I like the song for the disco level, Push It, the best.
